We killed a Mockingbird when we accused and ridiculed Michael Jackson. The problem is, people couldn't fathom his personality. He was a dreamy individualist with a large imagination. More often than not, the majority disproves of the minority. Why? Because the minority is different, And that difference gives it a mysterious and unknown allure. Which leads to distrust. The public was confused with and unaccustomed to his eccentricity. They couldn't fathom that he was serious, with everything he did and said, and they couldn't understand how anyone could be the way he was because they had never seen it before. He was an easy, easy ready made target. And the terrible thing is that the guy had an innocent little lamb disposition. He wouldn't hurt a fly...literally. Look at the thanks we gave him. To be accused for doing something so disgustingly putrid when you would, in actuality kill yourself before undertaking in that action has the be the most awful, degrading feeling in the world. He was shamed, scorned, disgraced and humiliated. We crucified him. He should have hated the whole of humanity afterward. But, he had only compassion in his heart. What a man.
A misunderstood, introspective visionary.
